Overview

n8n pulls shipment statuses from FedEx API, updates Google Sheets, and notifies stakeholders via email.

Prerequisites

  • n8n installed.
  • FedEx account with API access.

Workflow Setup

Prepare n8n Environment

  • Navigate to http://localhost:5678 and log in.
  • Click “Workflows,” then “+ New,” and name it (e.g., “Shipment Tracker”). Click “+” to start.

 

Trigger Node: Schedule

Settings:

  • Interval: Every 4 hours

Output: Trigger signal.

 

Track Node: FedEx

  • Method: POST
  • URL: FedEx tracking API endpoint

Notify Node: Gmail

  • Subject: Shipment Update

Output: Email sent.
